Personalized Mug

When Jodie was visiting at Thanksgiving, we took some time to do this craft.

Take a plain ceramic mug.

Create a design on it using permanent markers.

Bake for 30 minutes in a pre-heated 350 degree oven.

Jodie made a special set for a Secret Santa project.

We found the idea on Pinterest, who got it from the Home Made Simple website.

  1. Love all of it! Really, just markers on plain ceramic and baking? No need to glaze over again?

The Charles Darwin set is terrific ~ what a great idea (love Darles Charwin)

  2. I'm not sure that they're dishwasher safe. Jodie can probably answer that. And the permanent markers we used did look lighter coming out of the oven than they looked going in. But yes! That easy!

  3. I would say that they aren't dishwasher safe. I've hand washed my mug and only used soap on the insides, and some of the pink hearts have faded a little just from water. Better safe than sorry!
