I spent a little time in my studio today, putzing around, and putting things in order, playing with my new mini iron. I wandered across my pencil collection. I figure I have enough "stuff" now, so when folks go on vacation and have a need to bring me a souvenir, I ask for a pencil with a local attraction. These are some of my favorites from Marineland, Disney World, Miami, London's Parliament, Alaska, British Columbia, Bath in England, and Hawaii.
I decided to give my pencil collection a new home where they can be displayed. I found this cute little tin bucket with the heart-shaped cut-outs at a thrift store this summer. Just right!
I "heart" this container.

A Little More Geocaching Love
At the beginning of this month, I made some hearts out of melty beads to use as swag on a recent geocache tour. Most of them held up fairly well. I need to be sure to melt the melty beads quite well, or the hearts fall apart in transport.
This was some of the swag I received in exchange on our cache tour. It seems many of us cachers like to share hearts.
And some like another sign of love.

Taking a Nap
I was resting ... playing with the nap on the arm of our microfiber sofa ...

I Love Geocaching
One of my favorite pastimes is geocaching. It's a treasure-hunting game that you can play all over the world. Using your GPS, you hunt down a treasure chest (cache container), sign a log book, and exchange booty.
I've been wanting to come up with a "signature" bit o' swag to leave behind. So this weekend I made a bunch of "melty bead" hearts. Nice and lightweight and not too big. I plan on doing a lot of caching this weekend, so I can test them out on the trail.
